Republic Act 9003 provides a systematic, comprehensive, and ecological solid waste management program in the country. In Metro Manila, every resident generates about half a kilo of wastes a day, generating thousands of tons daily.

Designed specifically for LGUs but also for other interested parties, this seminar not just educates the participants about solid waste management, but also guides LGUs on how to be compliant with the law. 20 years after the law, less than a third of barangays nationwide are compliant.
